Lobbs Farmhouse Kitchen Café is nearly ready for customers. We're on schedule and will open to customers for a few days of practice from Monday 15th May 2023 while we find our feet before the official opening day of Friday 19th May.

Yes, we're nearly there! Lobbs Farm Shop's Farmhouse Kitchen Café is almost ready to open its doors. If the finishing touches are completed on time, we plan to open on Friday 19th May 2023.
The Countryside Barn has been stripped out and completely refurbished to provide space for customers to relax and enjoy a selection hot or cold drinks and plenty of homemade goodies from our own kitchen.

Every Friday, between 10:00am and 2:00pm, Paul Wakeling, who runs Paul's Fresh Fish, will be parked up outside the entrance to Lobbs Farm Shop, supplying a selection of fresh Cornish fish, crab and shellfish. We don't have Salmon in Cornish waters, so that's one of the few species sourced outside of the county.
He can supply many species of fish whole, or prepare and fillet for you. We have an amazing variety of species in our coastal waters and Paul sells Bass, Cod, Lemon Sole, Haddock, Dover Sole, Monkfish, Hake, Pollock, Whiting, Brill, Mackerel and Bream. Salmon and smoked Haddock are also available, as are Scallops, both white and brown Crab meat, as well as Smoked Salmon, Smoked Mackerel and Crab pâtés.
Paul moved to Mevagissey in 1981 and worked on various fishing boats operating out of the harbour until 1991 when he found a market selling Cornish fish from his van up in Surrey. Demand was such that he eventually opened a fishmongers shop there, which he and his father ran for 10 years. Paul returned to Mevagissey and after a period spent installing wood and multi-fuel stoves, he returned to what he knows best. Surrey's loss is our gain!

Pick up one of our £10 off cards when you next call in and for every £20 you spend in a single transaction in-store throughout Jan & Feb 2023, we will stamp your card up to a maximum of 4 stamps per transaction. Collect 4 stamps and we will give you £10 off of your next shop (or the total of your bill if your shop is less than £10).
There's a maximum discount of £10 discount redeemable per transaction and only one card can be redeemed per transaction. No change can be given and the discount is not redeemable for cash.
We cannot replace lost, stolen or damaged cards and stamps can only be collected or redeemed during January and February 2023.
Lobbs Farm Shop is hosting an exhibition of work by the Mid Cornwall Turners, a woodturning club that endeavours to promote and encourage woodturning in Cornwall. The exhibition runs from Friday 2nd December to 2:00pm on Monday 5th December 2022.
It's an ideal opportunity to buy some unique Christmas gifts from this very talented group of woodturners.
